How to Use Nuheart

Get your dog checked with a veterinarian to ensure the absence of existing heartworm infection.

Place one Nuheart tablet on the back of your dog’s throat on top of the tongue, and push it down the throat with your index finger.

For fussy eaters, dissolve the tablet in 5-10 ml of water or other fluid and add it to your dog’s food.

Give one tablet once a month on the same day or within a few days of the same day for continued protection.

Is heartworm disease prevention necessary?

How do dogs get infected with heartworms?

It all starts with a mosquito bite.

A mosquito bites a heartworm-infected animal and ingests heartworm larvae.
The heartworm larvae develop to the infective larvae stage inside the mosquito.
The mosquito bites a dog.
The heartworm larvae enter the tissue of the new host, and reach adult & mature adult stages in the bloodstream. Treatment is necessary at this stage.
