Equimec Plus Tape for Horses

Equimec Plus Tape is a broad-spectrum oral formula that effectively treats and controls a range of internal parasites in horses. It treats and controls adult and immature roundworms. The formula controls large and small strongyles, tapeworms and bots. It also controls skin lesions caused by habronema, Draschia spp., and Onchocerca spp. (cutaneous onchocerciasis).

This oral treatment for horses aids in controlling Pinworms, Hairworms, Large Mouth Stomach Worms, Neck threadworms, Bots, Lungworms and Intestinal Threadworms. It is safe for horses of all ages, including mares and stallions. It also offers multi-worm protection in horses. The treatment comes in an easy-to-administer trigger applicator for ease of use.

Usage Directions For Equimec Plus Horse Wormer Paste
  • Adjust the dosage control knob on the syringe to match the horse’s body weight
  • Insert the syringe into the side of the horse’s mouth, in the gap between the front and back teeth
  • Press the plunger to release the medication onto the rear of the tongue
  • Raise the horse’ head for a few seconds to ensure the complete dose is swallowed

Dosage:

  • Administer at the recommended dose level of 1 ml/40kg weight.
  • Each dose of 1 ml/40kg bodyweight dispenses 0.2 ml/kg of Ivermectin and 2.5mg/kg of Praziquantel.
  • The contents of a syringe will treat one horse at 1320 lbs (600kg) weight.
  • Each weight marking on the syringe plunger delivers 2.5g of paste which is enough to treat 100kg weight.
Equimec Plus Horse Wormer Paste Protective Measures
  • Treat at any stage of pregnancy.
  • Stallions may be treated without adversely affecting their fertility.
  • Avoid using in horses less than 28 days before slaughter for human consumption.
  • Not suitable for any other animals intended for human consumption.
  • Poisonous if swallowed. Contact a doctor in case of poisoning.
  • Dispose of the empty syringe by wrapping in paper and putting in the garbage.
  • Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.
  • Keep away from the reach of children and pets.
