Effipro duo spot-on treatment consists of 2 active ingredients – fipronil and pyriproxyfen. Fipronil is an effective adulticide whereas pyriproxyfen is a potent insect growth regulator. Fipronil efficiently disrupts the functioning of nerve cells in the fleas, paralyzing and thus, eliminating them. Pyroproxyfen effectively regulates the development of new fleas by preventing their multiplication, thus breaking off the flea life cycle.
